Since we have experienced such a warm, dry winter season you may to get out the hoses. Plants and grass, even at this time of year, can use occasional watering to ensure they will come back strong in the spring. On a warmer day you could go around the yard and give plants a drink.
- Water The Lawn occasionally on above freezing days. By doing this once or twice in the winter you can make sure it will green quicker in the spring.
- Young Trees that are still taking root can be given a drink also. This will help them establish a healthy root system and increase growth.
- Shrubs & Perennials are fairly tough, but these too can be given an occasional watering to help them going into the new season.
Watering your lawn, trees, shrubs, and perennials is not a necessity, but it can help these plants green up quicker, stay healthy and last another year.
